Are you visiting Sunne as a tourist you will be welcomed by our great range of nature- & culture- experiences, events and nice people. Perhaps we are characterized by the calmness of lake Fryken that meanders through the hills, or by the literatures fairytales through Selma Lagerlöf and Göran Tunström.
The landscape is beautiful and the activities are many, and you are never bored in Sunne. Everything can be found pretty close by since the county’s not too big, but just the right size! Use the car to get from sight to sight, or pedal around on a bike- you choose your own pace.
For the more adventurous family you can visit “Vattenlandet i Sunne”- the most fun country in Sweden! It is a big outdoor waterpark with lots of water activities both for young and old. In the same area, Kolsnäs, you find a variety of other activities, such as Värmlands greatest adventuregolfcourse, minicar-track and football-golf.
There is lots of culture in Sunne. A visit to “Mårbacka Minnesgård”, the childhood- home of Selam Lagerlöf, is a must, and Rottneros Park won’t dissapoint you! Here you will find a lovely flowerpark with sculptures and a big adventurous playground for the children.
You choose your accommodation after your own preferences. Sunne has many different alternatives to offer. The same applies to food, where you have a great variety, from a three-course dinner or having a fast lunch to grabbing a cup of coffee at a café.
